A&E CNC office R&D center has been revamped and upgraded, strengthening quality barriers with precision equipment

Release time:2026-08-17 News section:Company News

A company's R&D and testing capabilities are the core strength of high-end manufacturing and the first line of defense for product quality! To further improve its R&D system, optimize the office and research environment, and enhance product development and precision testing capabilities, A&E Machinery Industrial Co., Ltd. recently completed a full expansion and intelligent upgrade of its CNC office. What was once just a simple staff workspace has been completely transformed into a comprehensive R&D center integrating standardized office areas, specialized meeting rooms, and precision testing functions. At the same time, the testing lab has introduced several industry-leading precision instruments, fully supporting the entire process of R&D, prototyping, and testing for carbon fiber materials, semi-finished products, and finished products. This marks a new phase for A&E in precision manufacturing and quality control.

1.Plan logically to achieve detailed functional zoning

The renovation and upgrade of the CNC office not only involved a re-planned, scientific spatial layout but also achieved refined functional zoning and integrated workflow.

After the renovation, the CNC comprehensive R&D center is clearly divided into three main functional areas: employee offices, professional meeting rooms, and precision testing rooms. The office area provides the technical team with an efficient and comfortable work environment, helping research and design as well as process optimization work to progress smoothly; the standardized meeting rooms can meet various needs such as technical discussions, project reviews, and team training; the core upgraded precision testing room is a ‘hardcore showroom’ of A&E's manufacturing strength, equipped with multiple high-end precision devices, providing comprehensive technical support for product development iterations and accurate quality testing.

2.Building a quality barrier with precision equipment

It's especially worth mentioning that A&E’s newly upgraded precision testing lab focuses on R&D and testing of carbon fiber prepregs, semi-finished products, and high-end finished carbon fiber products. They’ve brought in specialized equipment like 3D printers, laser engravers, contour projectors, and laser scanning arms. The lab covers the whole process—from early-stage R&D and prototyping, to mid-stage dimension calibration, to final precision inspection—boosting the company's innovation capabilities and strict quality control all around.

(1)3D Printers

Quickly iterate on prototypes and shorten product development cycles.

In the development of carbon fiber products, 3D printers play a crucial role. The newly upgraded precision testing lab is equipped with 3D printing devices that support printing continuous carbon fiber composite materials. These devices allow the printed products to have ultra-high strength, high rigidity, fatigue resistance, and light weight, making them a key step in A&E's upgrade to develop high-end carbon fiber products! Currently, for new product development, the Zhongshan Rongnan technical team has been using 3D printing technology to quickly replicate product structure models, accurately reproducing the product's appearance, curves, and structural details. At the same time, they can quickly produce carbon fiber semi-finished test samples to help the team verify the prepreg bonding process and the reasonableness of the forming structure, significantly shortening the new product development and trial production iteration cycle, and helping the company quickly respond to customized market demands.

(2)Laser Engraving Machine

Customized, refined craftsmanship to enhance product texture and precision.

For fine processing and customized production needs of carbon fiber products, the laser engraving machine has achieved a process upgrade. The high-precision laser engraving machine uses laser for accurate positioning to engrave logos, parameter markers, custom textures, and more on the surfaces of carbon fiber finished and semi-finished products. The engraving edges are smooth, depth is consistent, and it’s durable and wear-resistant. This not only ensures the refined appearance of the products but also accurately meets high-end customers’ personalized customization needs, increasing the product’s added value.

(3)Contour Projector

Micron-level size calibration, strictly controlling the accuracy of semi-finished products.

As a core piece of precision inspection equipment, the contour projector is mainly used to check the dimensional accuracy and contour calibration of carbon fiber semi-finished products and parts. This device can accurately enlarge the workpiece’s contour, intuitively checking key parameters like curvature, hole diameter, thickness, and curvature, capturing tiny errors invisible to the naked eye, and ensuring that every carbon fiber semi-finished product meets the process standards, preventing defective items from entering the next production stage from the source.

(4)Laser Scanning Arm

Full-area 3D inspection to ensure stable product quality.

The laser scanning arm is the "ultimate tool" for high-end carbon fiber product quality checks, featuring full-area 3D inspection. For complex carbon fiber bike frames, this device can quickly collect complete 3D data of the product through high-precision laser scanning, accurately comparing the design drawings with the actual product. It thoroughly checks surface smoothness, structural symmetry, and overall forming accuracy, making sure every carbon fiber product that leaves the factory has super high precision and consistent quality.
